Capitalism is the greatest system ever devised for the creation of
wealth and the advancement of civilization.
Capitalism is the best system which has been ever been created
for producing wealth and advancing civilization. Communism
is an abject failure and results in miserable poverty but
why does it fail ? Well it fails to turn negatives into
positives. In capitalism human greed which is seen as a negative
is turned into a positive in the desire to get rich. In order
to get rich you must get off you butt and do something. In a
communist system there is no benefit by doing any more work
and so why bother and so the society runs down and becomes
poorer and poorer. There is nothing wrong with wanting to be
rich and if that is what it takes to motivate people into producing
goods and services then so be it.
Capitalism is not so much about success but about giving people a chance
to fail. I personally have had two businesses which have been
gigantic failures but that won't stop me from trying again and
again if necessary to strike it rich. That isn't to say capitalism
is perfect because it isn't but the alternatives are so much worse.
They result in poverty and even death for millions of their citizens.
Capitalism like alcohol should be taken in moderation. Too much of
a good thing can have the opposite effect and that is why America should
have universal health care like everyone else in the industrialized world.
